The Great Rupert (1950)

[Jimmy Durante, Terry Moore, Tom Drake, Frank Orth, Sara Haden]

Alternate title: A Christmas Wish. Shortly before Christmas, a family moves into an apartment where Rupert the squirrel lives in the attic rafters. Just as it seems that the holiday will come and go without so much as a Christmas tree, Rupert acts as the family's guardian angel - not only saving Christmas, but changing their lives forever.

At 38:58, Jimmy Durante says, "I can work alone. Why, I can out-juggle anyone in the business. And you know somethin', I can juggle 25 plates with one hand, and with the other hand, I pick up the broken ones." Using a stand-in to do the juggling, he then demonstrates juggling 5 walnuts. He makes one last high throw, intending to catch it behind his back, but Rupert, the squirrel, has stolen it.
