Penny Wise (1935)

[Joe Cook, Charles Olcott, Earle Gilbert, Ann Thomas, Edward Guhl]

17 minute short comedy. When the owner of a department store is about to go on vacation, he tells his children that any idiot could run the store. So they put Joe Cook in charge.

Joe Cook uses the store as a source of props.

At 10:31, he juggles Indian clubs for over a minute. Cook starts juggling 3 clubs, but soon begins a series of quick takeaways with an "old" man. They transition into passing the 3 clubs back and forth. Cook then gets 3 more clubs and they pass the 6 clubs. Finally, the "old" man throws all the clubs to Cook, who takes them and is left juggling 5 clubs, with no explanation for what happened to the sixth club.

At 14:18, Cook walks a rolling globe for about 30 seconds.

At 15:18, Cook rides a unicycle for about 40 seconds.
