Juggling in Movies

Spartacus (1960)

[Stanley Kubrick film; Kirk Douglas, Laurence Olivier, Jean Simmons]

The slave Spartacus survives brutal training as a gladiator and leads a violent revolt against the decadent Roman Republic, as the ambitious Crassus seeks to gain power by crushing the uprising.

At 1:23:14, Spartacus (Kirk Douglas) meets Antoninus (Tony Curtis) and had this exchange:

S: And, what work did you do?
A: Singer of songs.
S: Singer of songs? But, what work did you do?
A: Well, that's my work. I also juggle.
S: Juggle? What else do you do?
A: I can do feats of magic.
S: Magic? Maybe he can make the Romans disappear.
Although Kirk Douglas and Tony Curtis could both juggle, neither does so in this movie.

Credited as jugglers were the Johnson Brothers, Duke Johnson and Harry Johnson.
